The Tetragrammaton
John Preston
Grammaton Clerics are not religious figures. They are the complete embodiment of what it means to be Velikorossiyan. They are the men and women who created and perfected the art of Gun-kata (explained in the video below). It has been argued in the past that their devotion to their particular art of war has reached religious standings, but this is implied in ways beyond the 21st Century definition of "religion."
Grammaton Clerics serve one function and one function only. To serve the Will of the Diarchs. This has in the past caused great concern amongst the legislatures of government, but the Diarchs have used the Grammaton Clerics ever since the first Givosion Civil War toppled the Desmond Dynasty.
John Preston is the High Cleric of the Tetragrammaton, and as such may be considered a general of sorts. He personally oversees the teaching of the next generation of clerics at the Monastery, as well as coordinating the security for the House of Romanov and Desmond.
That being said, the Grammaton Clerics are split into two major divisions, the Romanov Household Division and the Desmond Household Division, with each division housing about a hundred clerics per member of the House. Grammaton Clerics do not consider themselves to be military units, and they have never been used in a foreign war, but in wars of succession as well as internal conflicts, it is considered a directive of the Tetragrammaton to act in "the best interests of the Diarchy," in others words, to act with haste in any way that will end the conflict in the favor of their House. It should be noted as well that a Grammaton Cleric is only loyal to the House he serves. He or she has no oath sworn in the name of the other House, and has very little inclination to take measures to protect them. Any move from an outside Grammaton Cleric in benefit of a Diarch was done so in the name of their own Diarch, not for the safety of the Diarch in peril.

Gun-kata
"Through analysis of thousands of recorded gun fights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The Gun-kata treats the gun as a total weapon. Each new position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents, while keeping the defendant clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire." The Gun-kata blends aspects of Kenjutsu and Yoga with compact automatic weapons to create a massive kill zone around the Cleric. Gun-kata includes close quarters combat training with boken and swords as well as using the Clerics' standard handguns as melee weapons. High Cleric Preston is a master of the Gun-kata, able to engage and terminate large numbers of armed adversaries without ever being in danger. In fact, his only rivals are other Clerics.
